Request data deletion
How to delete your data from THROW ANYTHING (Project Team For You (Projectteamforyou)). The game has no accounts, so it never asks for personal details such as a name or an email address. All the server holds is linked to a random device ID the game makes up on your device, and you can delete it at any time as described below.
Option 1 — Delete it in the game (immediate)
- Open the game (the Android app, or https://throwanything.com/play/).
- Tap LEVEL at the top centre of the screen to open the level picker.
- At the bottom, in the Records box, tap "🗑 Delete my online data" and confirm.
- The server deletes your data at once, and this device starts using a new device ID, so nothing afterwards is linked to what was deleted.
Option 2 — Ask by email
If you can't open the game, or are asking from another device, email projectteamforyou@gmail.com with the subject "THROW ANYTHING data deletion request". Include the device ID shown in the Records box, or the 6-character code of a level you posted. We delete it within 7 days and reply. We do not ask for any other personal information.
Deleting data stored on your device
Your progress (stars, records, missions, settings) is stored only on your device and is never sent to us. To remove it:
- Android app: Settings → Apps → THROW ANYTHING → Storage → Clear data (or uninstall the app)
- Web: clear the site data for throwanything.com in your browser settings
Data that is deleted
- This device ID's presence record (used to show how many people are playing)
- Every level you posted: its layout, title, author name, the winning throw, the hashed IP address, and its play, clear, like and report counts
- Likes and reports you left on other levels (their counts go down to match)
Data that is kept, and for how long
- Daily anonymous totals (throws, clears, game starts, site visits): these are numbers without any device ID, so they cannot be linked to anyone; they are not deleted and are kept.
- Server access logs: kept only for our hosting provider's (Railway) log retention period and deleted automatically after at most 30 days.
- Even without a request, presence records are deleted automatically 2 days after the last visit.
